When you first find out that you have an upcoming relocation to Sun City Arizona, one of your first decisions is whether to look at new homes in Sun City Arizona or existing homes in Sun City Arizona. You can also contract to have a home built to your specifications. While it may be tempting to build a new home from scratch, you have to factor in the stress of not having a permanent home during the months of construction. You may want to consider “spec” homes that builders have almost completed. This will give you the freedom to choose colors and styles, but will also enable you to move into your new home shortly after your relocation to Sun City Arizona. I have friends that lived in a 2 room efficiency motel for 5 ½ months (with 2 children and a dog!) while their home was being built. She told me that she would never do that again. She loved having a new home, but has decided that if she ever moves across country again, she will not subject her family to that experience again.
Sun City started construction in the 1960s as a Del Webb community. Del Webb is a group that constructs retirement communities in the Sun Belt. Sun City has a planned street network, but disrupts the secondary street layout of Phoenix. Little has changed for the community in the last 40 years. However, as more retired to the area, Del Webb began construction on Sun City West in the late-1980s, Sun City Grand in the late-1990s, and Sun City Festival in the early to mid-2000s. The community is well known to law students, as it is featured in the case, Spur Industries v. Webb, 494 P.2d 700 (Ariz. 1972), commonly used in first year property law courses to illustrate nuisance law. Sun City is located at 33°36'51?N, 112°16'55?W (33.614238, -112.281925)GR1. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 37.8 km² (14.6 mi²). 37.6 km² (14.5 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (0.62%) is water. -- Source: Wikipedia.com AskMe a Question About Sun City, ArizonaTo ask a question or make a comment about Sun City, Arizona Click Here.
